The National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee is pleased to present the 10th annual Zero Injury Safety Awards, the most prestigious safety award program in the construction industry.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the National Building Museum, located at 440 G Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20001. Guests are encouraged to enter the museum from the G Street entrance.

A cocktail reception will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m.

We will honor more than 10 million work-hours performed injury-free on industrial construction projects covered by national maintenance agreements. This total is the fourth highest reported number of hours for safety since 2000.

The guest speaker for the event is Lt. General Russel L. Honore (Ret.), Commander of Joint Task Force Katrina. When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in August 2005, Honore stepped in to take charge and restore order and hope when it seemed that desperation and chaos were taking over the oity of New Orleans. Honore is an expert on preparedness and responding to catastrophe; he offers insights into protecting people and organizations, outlining the principles necessary to lead through unexpected and uncontrollable crises. His first book Survival: How a Culture of Preparedness Can Save You and Your Family from Disasters was published in May 2009. We are very pleased to have the man that New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin called a "John Wayne dude" as our guest speaker for the 10th annual Zero Injury Safety Awards Gala.

If you are an award winner be prepared to take your award(s) home following the Zero Injury Safety Awards Gala. Please note that some award winners may receive multiple awards, therefore we urge you to be prepared to transport your award(s) home. The NMAPC will not be responsible for shipping awards.

Name badges will be provided to all attendees as your ticket to the event. Due to limited seating, registration is only available online; therefore, we urge you to register at your earliest convenience. In addition, transportation to and from the Washington Court Hotel to the National Building Museum is available. You must complete online registration to reserve a seat (seats are limited).
