The NMAPC Zero Injury Safety Awards Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Union Station-East Hall located on Capitol Hill, 50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE, in Washington, DC 20002. Cocktails will be served in the Columbus Club, located on the second floor of Union Station, at 6:30 PM and dinner at 7:30 PM in East Hall, located on the main level of Union Station. We will honor all proud recipients who have won this prestigious award; owner, contractor and labor organization and recognize their contributions in achieving world-class safety performance.

President-Chief Executive Officer of the National Safety Council (NSC), Mr. Alan McMillan, has been invited to the event as the Key Note Speaker. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the fourteen International Union General Presidents who have also been invited.

For those of you who are traveling from out of town who may need sleeping accommodations the NMAPC has reserved a block of rooms at the Washington Court Hotel, 525 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20001. • Follow I-95 South toward Washington, DC to I-495 and exit East.

• Turn Left onto First Street, NE.
• Follow First Street approximately 12 blocks to Massachusetts Avenue.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS TO WASHINGTON COURT HOTEL

Directions from National Airport:

Follow signs for I-395 North (Stay in Right Hand Lanes and Look for I-395 North Signs as you Cross the Potomac River). Continue on I-395 Approximately One Mile Until You See a Sign Reading “US Senate/D Street/I-395”. This Exit will Put you Through Two Tunnels. In the Second Tunnel, Take the Exit Marked “D Street”. At the end of the Tunnel, Turn Right on to D Street. At the Second Light, Turn Left on New Jersey Avenue. Go Two Blocks on New Jersey Avenue. The Hotel is on the Right Side Between E and F Street.

Directions from Dulles Airport:

Take Dulles Access Road to I-66 East or Route 50 to Washington, crossing the Potomac River via the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Exit to Constitution Avenue (Follow Constitution Avenue toward the Capitol Dome). Shortly Before You Reach the Capitol, Turn Left on Louisiana Avenue. Go Two Blocks and Turn Left on New Jersey Avenue. The Hotel is on New Jersey Avenue, Between E and F Streets.

Directions from Baltimore-Washington International Airport:

Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) South. Go south on I-95 toward Washington. Take exit 22 B (the Baltimore-Washington Parkway). Follow the Baltimore-Washington Parkway South to Route 50 West. Route 50 West Becomes New York Avenue. Follow New York Avenue for Approximately Two Miles (through the warehouse section) and Turn Left on North Capitol Street. Follow North Capitol Street to E Street and Turn Right. Go One Block to New Jersey Avenue and Turn Right.
